“Many people still confuse ‘attachment’ with ‘love’. Attachments are about fear and dependency, and have more to do with love of self than love of another. Love without attachment is the purest love because it isn’t about what others can give you, because you’re empty. It’s about what you can give others—because you’re already full.”—Yasmin Mogahed (via katelizabeth)
Assalamualaikum sisters. Just some things to ponder on:
Nawaitu - in everything that we do, do we renew our intention?
What we do in this dunya is a means for us to get to a bigger purpose, the sole reason for us being on this earth: to worship Allah azwajal.
So dearest sisters, pray for Rasulullah’s ummah. May we always remember that everything we plan is just means for us to get His pleasure and Jannah. May what we do in this dunya erase our big and small sins, and make us better human beings. May we always remember Rasulullah p.b.u.h. as our Qudwah Hasanah (Best examplary role model).
“When I say ‘as-salaamu alaykum’ and when you say ‘walaykum as-salaam’ to me, then we’ve actually made an open declaration that there is no grudge, animosity, hatred, or anxiety between us, and that we only wish peace from Allah upon each other.”—Nouman Ali Khan (via imaan-daar)
Once I saw (Sufyaan) Ath-Thawree in the Haram after maghrib prayer offering voluntary prayer. Then he went down into sujood (prostration) and he didn’t raise his head until the adhaan for ‘ishaa was made.”
“Despite committing a sin, Allah still bestows four blessings on His sinful servant: He does not cut off his sustenance, He does not cause his health to deteriorate He does not make the sin apparent on him for all to see and He does not hasten his punishment.”—[Said Ibn Bilal] (via roadtojannah-1)
