Hijab Photo Competition (HPC) II Contestant #19: Nancy from Canada
Reason for why your photo represents “ A True Hijabi”: It is difficult to define what the terms “true hijabi” means. It certainly does not matter if someone’s hijab is leopard-print or black or polka dotted, it all comes down to the actual person and how they choose to portray and dress themselves.
Hijab Photo Competition (HPC) II Contestant #17: Paige Almon from Canada
Reason for why your photo represents “A True Hijabi”: My photo represents a true hijabi because I feel that with my full intention, 7 months ago, I honestly made the best decision in my life. I’m a convert, still somewhat new to islam, it’s been about 9 months since I converted and 7 months ago I started to wear the hijab. No one forced me to wear it; in fact most people put me through a lot of struggle and pain for wearing it, especially my “friends”, but it was worth it. I love knowing that I’m obeying Allah (s.w.t) and making him happy. I love Allah more than anything, and knowing that with my full intention, I’m actually pleasing him, makes me the happiest person in the world. I’ll never take off my hijab. Alhamdulillah <3
